We offer a range of academic subjects, as well as religious studies, that aim to prepare our students for success in this life and the hereafter.
Our experienced teachers are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive both academically and spiritually. We encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning in all of our students.
In addition to our academic program, we offer a range of extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their interests and develop their skills. We have a variety of sports teams, clubs, and community service opportunities that students can participate in.
After running a successful Primary school for the last 12 years, we opened a small homeschooling centre for secondary boys in 2019 which over the past 4 years has seen our students thrive and grow in confidence and understanding. Our parents have expressed a desire for us to establish a new Secondary School which will now open in 2024 alhamdulilah for years 7 to 11 insha’Allah. The Tarbiyyah trust is dedicated to serving the community and has over 10 years experience in providing a range services to the community including Fundays, Camping Trips, Self Defence classes for men, women and children, sports camps, training and more.
Our school has a focus on Tarbiyyah (spiritual and moral education) aiming to instil a strong sense of Islamic identity, values and practices in our students.
Our students develop a strong foundation in Islamic values and principles, and are empowered to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and compassionate leaders who positively impact their communities and the world.
Our vision aligns with shifts in the global economy, society, and environment, whilst maintaining our heritage which animates our mission and our values.
Our core values form a powerful foundation for personal and organisational character development. Collectively, they create a well-rounded RECIPE for a strong, ethical, and purpose-driven character.
Our vision is a world where all people are safe, enlightened, educated, and free to make the best decisions for themselves, their environment and those people who are near to them or far away.
We have created an Islamic secondary school that focuses on tarbiyyah (spiritual and moral education) with an aim to instill a strong sense of Islamic identity and practice in our students.
Our mission is comprehensive in developing well rounded and capable students as follows:
The importance of well being in children cannot be under emphasised particularly with the changes and development during adolescence. Our moral and spiritual emphasis is key to our development of strong, independent and upright individuals. Our bespoke Tarbiyyah (Islamic nurturing) and PSHE curriculum alongside our continuous support mechanisms enable the children to learn to be kind to themselves and others and maintain a healthy perspective.
Our pastoral team offers support and guidance at an individual level and we pay close attention to the motivations, strengths and ambitions of each boy. Feedback and close communication with parents is vital to ensure the pupils prosper and remain happy and confident.
Our students are taught to be empathetic and show a sense of responsibility to those around them within their own school and at a wider community level. Initiatives such as mentoring, student council, house systems and our Charity, Sustainability and Community Service programmes are fundamental aspects of our setting.
At Tarbiyyah Secondary Boys School we have put together a team of enthusiastic subject specialist teachers to deliver a challenging, adventurous and stimulating curriculum. Our students are wonderfully imaginative, spontaneous and hands on in whatever subject they partake in and love to ask questions and participate. At Tarbiyyah Secondary Boys School, they are
rewarded for their enthusiasm and we fuel their passions by creating opportunities to dig deeper and take risks.
The heart of learning is to install a love of reading and research. We have developed reading opportunities at every level of the curriculum and utilise a cross curricular approach to progress these skills.
Our Islamic studies, Quran and Arabic curriculums are bespoke and tailored to our students needs and offer GCSE options to KS4 level.
Typical students will look to sit 9 to 11 GCSEs and we aim for 90%+ A*-C grades each year in 8 subjects.
With a wealth of extra curricular activities such as Swimming, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Cyber Security, Tennis, Climbing, Community Service, Eco, Public Speaking, Ceramics, Tech club, there is something for everyone.
Extra curricular learning provides the pupils with real life skills as well as the opportunity to kindle their interests and explore possibilities. Our students learn to be courageous and try new things and become committed to their journey
Clubs are run in the mornings, lunchtimes and after school to suit pupils’ preferences and give them as many opportunities as possible.
All boys will contribute to the community services programme which is an amazing well being and confidence boosting tool as well as providing them with social and moral responsibility. We have established links with local partners, primary schools, charities and societies in order to provide pupils with a range of opportunities.

At Tarbiyyah Secondary Boys School we are keen to develop a reputation that rivals the best in the borough for sports. Our children will have access to a range of sports to try and will then have the freedom to pursue those that they enjoy.
We believe that healthy competition is a good way to develop confidence and mental strength and therefore internal and external challenges are set for all disciplines. We also use competition to network, meet new people and establish the bonds between fellow students.
Our ethos is Islamic and we firmly believe that establishing Prophetic guidance will bring the best outcomes for our students. We place heavy emphasis on ensuring pupils have the best Manners as stated by our Prophet (sallahu alayhi wasalam) “I have come to perfect the Noble Character”. The perfection of the Islamic character comes through understanding and adherence to the Book of Allah as mentioned by Aisha (radiallahu anha) the wife of the Prophet (sallahu alayhi wasalam) “His (the Prophet’s) manners were the Qur’an. This is accomplished through our Islamic studies, Tafsir, Seerah and Fiqh course and extraction of key details from the Qur’an and Sunnah for study. Alongside the study of Arabic and
memorisation of the Qur’an itself, students are given a deeper and relevant understanding of the legacy that has been left behind and the lofty example that they have to follow.
“Indeed (In the Prophet) you have been given an Excellent example” Quran Surah Al Ahzab (33:21)…
