Personal presentation is important in the world of work and we want to make sure that every student develops a sense of pride in how they look. We have kept the uniform easy for parents to afford and purchase in common shops.
The school has a very strict policy for appearance that must be adhered to.
We are raising students of knowledge and young men that need to have self respect.
The hair needs to be simple, one length and tidy. Hair cannot be overgrown if it becomes messy or a distraction (going on their eyes or constantly needing to be touched)
Skin fades, perms, weaves are not permitted. Students will be sent home if failing to adhere.
Likewise no labelled jumpers, hooded tops, coloured trainers, street wear (hoodrich, trapstar) under their thobes
Clothes should be plain, ironed and clean.
We are teaching the students that their age is important and how people portray them is often based on looks which form first impressions and judgements. Likewise the appearance of a student often effects their mentality so it’s important they are in formal clothing.
Parents will inform the school if their children are permitted to go home alone in advance.
All students are supervised from the start of the day until 3:45pm. They are always supervised by teachers and escorted to the park at lunchtime; We take registers in the first 5 minutes of every lesson.
Student safety is our number one priority. We have performed detailed risk assessments on everything from Fire, H&S, COSHH, Safeguarding, First Aid, supervision and more. Please see individual policies on our website for more information regarding these areas.
Students are required to bring in packed lunch with Healthy options only, (no fizzy drinks, crisps, sweets/chocolates will be permitted.
Students have 1 hour at lunch to eat, pray Dhuhr and go to the park to play.
Tarbiyyah is dedicated to providing a variety of sporting opportunities to students in order to allow them to find their passion whether on the court, field or arena. Sport gives them confidence, skill development and a way to keep healthy for the rest of their lives.
Sports are played at the fields, courts and pitches at Heston Park. We also use the Heston Leisure Centre facilities for indoor PE and swimming.
Tarbiyyah aims to have a maximum of 15 students in a class allowing teachers to provide more time with each student.
Tarbiyyah Secondary School caters for certain low level special needs; however more complex needs would require additional funding which we would discuss on a case by case basis.
Students with disabilities would be catered for according to our disability accessibility plan.
Tarbiyyah offers Arabic as a Modern Foreign Language which students will be put forward for their GCSEs.
Homework allows students to consolidate and gain greater depth in their understanding of topics. Students are expected to complete their homework on time and to a high standard.
