Uniforms

We are raising students of knowledge and young men that must have self respect.

Personal presentation is important in the world of work and we want to make sure that every student develops a sense of pride in how they look. We have kept the uniform easy for parents to afford and purchase in common shops.

Our students are taught to understand that this period in their lives is important. People will base their first impression and judgements on their appearance. Likewise, the appearance of a student often effects their mentality, making it all the more essential they present themselves formally.

Students must endeavour to attend school in a respectable manner – ironed clothes, combed hair, and so on.

Any form of haircut that splits the hair into separate ‘heights’ is not allowed (taper fade, skin fade, number X on one side and number Y on the other, and so on).

The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم prohibited shaving a part of the head and leaving another part long. [An-Nasā’ī, 5051 | Sahih, Al-Albani]

Students’ trousers should end above the ankles. Either the hemline should be altered/tailored, or trousers must be tucked in to students’ socks.

Whatever is below the ankles from the lower garment will be in the Fire. [Al-Bukhārī, 5787]
